Är det möjligt att nå en arbetslöshet under fyra procent? Den socialdemokratiskt ledda regeringens mål är att ha EUs lägsta arbetslöshet år 2020. I regeringens egna bedömningar hamnar dock arbetslösheten år 2020 på 6,2 procent. Det är långt från den nuvarande lägsta arbetslösheten i EU som är 3,7 procent i Tjeckien. För att kunna nå 3,7 procent år 2020 krävs en minskning av arbetslösheten med ytterligare cirka 135 000 personer givet den förväntade ökningen av befolkning och arbetskraftsdeltagande. För att detta ska vara möjligt krävs en sysselsättningsundersökning på cirka 270 000 personer.
Ekonomerna och utredarna Stefan Carlén och Christer Persson har i en ny rapport visat att regeringens mål är möjligt att nå. Men det förutsätter en förändrad ekonomisk politik.
