Anders Bäck på altsax har ett starkt personligt uttryck influerat av saxofonister som exempelvis Cannonball Adderley, Dexter Gordon och Johnny Hodges. Pianisten Simon Westman är flitigt anlitad på den Svenska jazzscenen i många olika grupper och han har haft stora framgångar med sin egen trio som har närmare 5 miljoner lyssningar på Spotify. Simons pianospel är tekniskt briljant , lyhört och dynamiskt alltid med en fantastisk känsla för jazzens idiom. Den unge ödmjuke basisten Melker Törnqvist har på kort tid etablerat sig som en gigant inom Göteborgs Jazzliv. Trots sin ungdom är hans auktoritet och professionalitet som basist otvivelaktig. Han befinner sig i ständig utveckling och hans potential har inga gränser. Trumslagaren Lars ”Lade” Källfelt vars genialitet är omisskännlig och gör honom till en av Sveriges mest efterfrågade musiker inom en rad olika genres men där jazzen ändå får betraktas som hans huvuddomän. Hans touch, timing och driv lyfter kvartetten till oanade höjder vilket gör att det får betraktas som obligatoriskt att närvara vid dessa kvällar på UtopiaJazz. Varmt välkomna!
