Rätten att få vara sig själv står i centrum för den tecknade filmen Agatha – granndetektiven. Tioåriga Agatha-Christine trotsar omgivningens förväntningar och krav, när hon väljer bort ”vänskapstrams”, drar på sig sin deckarhatt och ger sig ut på tjuvjakt i grannskapet.
Filmens stillsamma tempo och egensinniga bildspråk ger plats för funderingar om självtvivel och självkänsla, om livet i familjen och hur tokigt det kan bli när man dömer någon på förhand.
