Detta är en hyllning till alla tjejer och kvinnor.
9 to 5 the musical är baserad på filmklassikern med samma namn från 80-talet där vi bland annat kunde se Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda och Lily Tomlin i rollerna.Text och musik är skriven av Dolly Parton och manuset är bearbetat av Patricia Resnick som tillsammans med Colin Higgins skrev manuset till filmen.
Drivna till bristningsgränsen kokar tre kollegor ihop en plan för att skipa rättvisa med sin trångsynta, sexistiska, egocentriska hycklande lögnhals till chef. I en serie bisarra händelseutvecklingar får Violet, Judy och Doralee leva ut sin vildaste fantasi - att bli kvitt chefen! De tre vännerna tar nu kontroll över sitt kontor och gör förändringar.De upptäckter att det inte finns några gränser för vad de kan göra, inte ens i en mansdominerad värld.
