Stockholmsbandet The Hounds var kända för sin fenomenala stämsång och låtar som Exodus, The Lion sleeps tonight, Sealed with a kiss och The gipsy cried (även om min personliga favorit är I like the rhythm, b-sidan på Lion sleeps…). Janne Önnerud har sedan som solo- och duettartist haft stora framgångar på Svensktoppen som han även varit programledare för.
The Shanes från Kiruna startade som instrumentalband men ändrade plötsligt skepnad, kammade håret (som blivit jätteeeelångt!!!) åt andra hållet, började sjunga, var förband till Beatles 1964 och har huvudrollen i den märkliga roadmovien ”Shanes, fyra dygn med ett popband” av Erik M Nilsson. Av deras hits är min favorit Chris Craft no 9.
Doktor Krall bjuder på 50-tals-rock’n’roll och tidig 60-talspop med fullt ös, fullt blås och svängande sångerska.
The Mad Men Band spelar tidig 60-talspop och 50-tals-rock’n’roll. Inget blås men fem leadsångare.
”Det var bättre förr” är ett konsertkoncept som innefattar allt från folkparkskväll med Lill-Babs till Led Zeppelin-hyllningar. Beatles, Depeche Mode, 60-talet i allmänhet och The Band’s Last Waltz är några av favoriterna. Återkommande hos idylliska Lasse i parken, ärevördiga Stampen och Waterfront Sunset hos The Loch & Quay på Skeppsbron. Porter & Thorells Syndrom står för arrangemangen
