GUS BY HEART
Gus By Heart är en ensamseglats med sångaren och låtskrivaren Gustav Svedung, som förra året släppte debuten Ocean Spirit, ett album med lika delar Arcade Fire-ställ som Antony and the Johnsons-intimitet. På nya EP:n Now Is Not anas en popigare estetik, som samtidigt utmanas av texter med en mörkare nyans än själva musiken. Kantigt synthbrass slipas mot böljande falsettkörer och programmerade trummor smattrar mot ett akustiskt piano. Det är öppet hav, med natthimlen som vägvisare.
HANNAH TOLF
2014 släppte gruppen sitt debutalbum The Park på Havtorn Records. Musiken är skör, kraftfull, meditativ och snabbt skiftande. Rätt blir fel och fel blir rätt då vi omvärderar. Och frågan förblir öppen och återkommande, vem bestämmer vem som får berätta? Genom poetiska texter och tidlösa improvisationer ger de fyra musikerna liv åt berättelser. Live ger dom publiken tid för begrundan där nuet blir allt, sinnena skärps. Dom spelar för att ge livslust åt individen och lämnar sällan åhöraren oberörd.
