På festivalens andra konsert kan vi uppleva den mytomspunna, dramatiska Appassionatan i Per Tengstrands dynamiska tolkning.
Före det får vi möta violisten Katie Liu, till vardags på Yale och i New York Philharmonic. Med Tengstrand vid flygeln spelar hon ett av Brahms sena mästerverk, den fantastiskt vackra sonaten i Ess-dur i original för klarinett. Före pausen blir det också ett fyrverkeri i mer modern tappning i form av solomusik för viola av Grazyna Bacewicz.
