Duon består av Christoffer Johansson på sång och gitarr samt Emanuel Svensson på trummor. Musiken har sin grund i blues och vistradition, med inslag av grunge, frijazz och det sakrala. Tonen är genomgående mörk då bandet väljer att behandla dystra ämnen och tragiska livsöden.
The Bitter and Sick and Die Alones debutskiva bär namnet The Prophet. Det är en skiva som utforskar ledargestalters uppgång och fall. Vilka egenskaper behöver en person besitta för att göra anspråk på, och ges makt över andra? Vem har makt och hur hamnade makten i den personens händer? Vad händer när den som besitter makt inte längre kan bära bördan?
Skivan består av sex låtar skrivna på temat. Parallellt med dessa sex låtar löper en längre instrumental komposition som binder ihop låtarna till en helhet. I skivan blandas det akustiska med det elektroniska, det traditionella med det experimentella, det storslagna med det subtila. Två parallella ljudvärldar som kontrasterar och kompletterar för att slutligen förenas.
