”Vanföreställning” bjuder in publiken att delta i en dans- och teaterföreställning som gifter det sena 1800-talets intresse för spiritism med en folklivsforskande estetik.
Från den vikingatida völvans pragmatiska ritualer till salongsmediets sofistikerade mystik framträder berättelsen om en tidlös form av kulturarbetare, som medvetet har använt sig av positionen som outsider för att utföra ett vördat, ibland fruktat, yrke. I vår iscensatta seans åkallar vi völvan, häxan, skökan, avvikaren och främlingen. Vi, som deras moderna kollegor, fortsätter i samma anda när vi låter dem tala, röra sig och närvara genom våra kroppar.
Med föreställningen vill vi återskapa seansens teatrala rum och visa hur det historiskt inneburit ett fredat utrymme där utom-normativa människor kunnat tolereras, verka professionellt och kanske rentav uppnå viss stjärnstatus på grund av sitt annorlundaskap. Samtidigt innehar ett sådant rum en ömtålig maktbalans, där det inte alltid är tydligt vem som har övertaget. Å ena sidan är mediet beroende av klientens välvilja, å andra sidan är hon en ceremoniell specialist vars expertis inte får ifrågasättas. Seansen blir ett gränsland som möjliggör rörelse fram och tillbaka över sociala och dimensionella gränser.

Denna förställning spelas i Gathenhielmska Huset som byggdes 1743 - 47, därför finns det bara 20 publikplatser till varje föreställning.

I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
