Welcome to Science Sports Camp!
About: Science Sports Camp is a four day adventure and learning! We might not have the snow but there is a lot to know. We will be doing a variety of sports, one of which might be your favourite, and also inquiring about the different science and maths applications behind it. Explore one of our sports and a science themed day to see how science and engineering impact your favorite sport.
Test your athletic prowess and your strength at the Sports Museum of Stockholm. Investigate your moves aided through some science experiments. Have you ever wondered if you can ever walk faster than your parents? How many more steps do you need to take compared to your parents to walk down the block?
Each day will be a different activity and depending on the weather, most of the activities will be outdoors.
A shirt, snacks, entrance to a museum and travelling to sports centers in Stockholm are included in the fees.

Day 1- Monday (Get tickets)
A visit to the SPORTS MUSEUM and testing our skills on a variety of in-door sports at the Museum.
Recognising the human capacity and how sports evolved through the decade. Top athletes and coaches apply a variety of science and engineering to improve performance and increase the chances of winning. Add to that are better food healthy habits and science- based training regimes and you have an era of amazing athletes.
Day 2 - Tuesday (Get Tickets)
A Tribute to Kobe Bryant - “ Basketball and bouncing balls”
Playing basketball takes a lot of hard work. Players not only constantly run around the court, but just dribbling the ball takes a lot of effort. Let us look into a science project projecting how energy is transferred and look into the different factors affecting the height of which the basketball bounces.
Day 3 - Wednesday (Get Tickets)
“All about Soccer”
Let us find out how many geometric shapes can we find in the soccer field? Then, try to measure their area or perimeter. How about kicking some soccer balls and finding out which angle would yield us a better goal. Study some daily routine of our favorite players and check how much exercise and training they do in a day?
Day 4 - Thursday (Get Tickets)
"The STEM of Golf"
Ending the camp with some signature swings and investigating some calculating operations in scoring golf. Looking into some architectural golf landscapes, what makes a place an ideal spot to play golf? Recognising the science in playing golf; why do the dimples in golf balls make them fly faster?
