Composer cooperative and audio visual label OONA is curating a series of live events, that seek to create unexpected synergies between different art forms.  On August 28th OONA & Under Tallarna will host their second event together, returning to the magical outdoor facilities at Under Tallarna in Järna.   Under Tallarna is a farm and growing collective, engaged in questions surrounding food production and deep ecology in its full practice.

This evening will serve as an ode to and celebration of the natural world.  Setting further context around this is the freshly issued UN climate report, again reiterating the impact we humans have had and continue to have on nature.  The thing so many are having trouble with is finding ways to feel and embody this extremely catastrophic and existential information.  Our intention with this evening is to serve as an invitation to bring people together around a continuum of sound, light, poetry and food to honour the natural world that holds us all.

Gällande COVID-19: Håll gärna avstånd till varandra på plats, tvätta/sprita händerna vid entrén och om du har Corona-symptom stanna hemma.  

Parkering: Kommer du med bil, parkera då vid Järna station. Det tar 10-15 min att gå från Järna station. Vi har ypperliga möjligheter för att ställa cyklar, promenadskor o dylikt, men bilar finns det inte rum för på Under Tallarna. Lämna bilen hemma eller på Järna Station! Har ni särskilda behov av parkering pga. funktionsvariation eller annat hör av er till oss.

Nils Berg´s Coming & Going Ensemble – One of the most influential voices in Swedish Jazz brings a new experimental ensemble concept inspired by the sounds of the natural world. Melt into tones of jazz folk minimalism set against the creatures of the night.  

Lau Nau + Matti Bye – Collaborations between cult Finish experimental artist / composer Lau Nau and decorated film composer / pianist Matti Bye stretch back over 10 years .  They bring their otherworldly electro acoustic tones of spectral otherness into the edge of the forest.   

Erik Enocksson + Kristofer Flensmarck - Since his debut in 2005, poet & author Kristofer Flensmarck has published 11 books, most recently the novel “In I Smärtan” (2020). This August 2021, Malmö-based publisher Anti releases “Signals”, a new book of poems by Flensmarck. This special evening esteemed composer and producer Erik Enocksson and Kristofer will present a live reading from this crumbling existential book, in which Erik will perform a seamless work of sound and music that meld´s into Flensmarck’s words.

"Signal" är ett existentiellt narrativ, en varierad monotoni, en glödande dronekomposition av alltmer avlägsna toner och ljusblink. Ett alfabetiskt ordnat försök att inkludera allt det som successivt försvinner i den stora pågående kollapsen. All förlust, all ilska, all meningslöshet, all skönhet. All natur, all rädsla, all skit, all stillhet, all tid. Ett teckenspråk uppfunnet efter att kontakten brutits, splittrat i indikationer och antydningar. Den konceptuella diktningen förbrukas och upphävs.

Rebekka Karijord – Accomplished artist and composer brings her stunning “voice organ” to us, an instrument she has built by sampling 20 female, male and non-binary voices in their full scale.  Add to this a live vocal quartet and prepare to expect the unexpected. 

Jon Ekstrand – Accoladed film composer returns to his roots and  brings us a special dub set of analogue electronics that is sure to shake.

Nathan Larson – Prolific artist, author, film composer and co-founder of the Lumen Project will set the scene and provide a continuum of sound allowing the evening to flow together with a live dj set, bringing field recordings, cosmic environmental music and live electronics into the mix. 

Martina Hoogland Ivanow – Decorated visual artist whose works expose the fragile balance between humankind, culture, suistainabily and nature.  Martina´s photographic process becomes an investigation into our often dualistic nature and documentation of how the self relates to the outside world.  This evening she will curate a program of visual material, illuminating the forrest.
