The second New Nordic Voice shorts programme is as eclectic as the first, featuring a mix of live-action drama, twisted horror, and experimental animation. The thread tying these films together is the filmmakers’ bold vision, and inventive storytelling, taking us on unexpected journeys. In Boy Gets Eaten we follow Anders as he loses his virginity; animator Thinh Nguyen’s confounding Tom Has a Plant needs to be seen to be understood; Fanny Ovesen explores mob mentality in She-Pack; and Maja is a cerebral and nuanced take on immigration.
She-Pack by Fanny Ovesen
Maja by Marijana Jankovic
Tom Has a Plant by Thinh Nguyen
Boy Gets Eaten by Sebastian Lagerkvist
This short film package will also be screened on September 22 at 13:30. To get a ticket for this screening, click on this link.
