På några få år har den kinesiska den sociala medieplattformen Tiktok fått över en miljard användare. Appen har utmanat västerländska plattformsbolag samtidigt som den blivit ett stresstest för demokratiska länders säkerhetspolitik. Säkerhetsexperter pekar bland annat ut det faktum att företagets moderbolag Bytedance finns i Kina, och därmed lyder under kinesisk lag, som en säkerhetsrisk.
I dag är Tiktok bannlyst i ett betydande antal länders regeringsorgan, myndigheter och politiska församlingar. Exempelvis får europaparlamentariker inte längre nyttja appen i sina arbetsverktyg – i Sverige har samma begränsningar införts för Regeringskansliets personal.
Men samtidigt som säkerhetsfarhågorna kring Tiktok blir fler förblir appen ett av de främsta kommunikationsverktygen för barn och unga, inte minst i Sverige.
Välkommen på ett lunchseminarium och lansering av rapporten ”Tiktok – barnunderhållningen som blev ett säkerhetsproblem”. I samtalet medverkar rapportens två författare, Anna Rennéus Guthrie och Patrik Oksanen samt Hanna Linderstål, cybersäkerhetsexpert och vd för företaget Earhart.
