Ju fler tungor som tystas, desto mer talar de är Lala Raščićs första utställning i Sverige. I sin konst tar Lala Raščić utgångspunkt i gamla folksägner, mytologiska väsen och feministisk teori. Medusa och den spindel-lika Arachne är två betydelsefulla inspirationskällor. I samarbete med musikensemblen Göteborg Baroque har hon skapat ett nytt verk som utgår från Claudio Monteverdis opera Poppeas kröning från 1642. Utställningen visar även äldre verk med varierande uttryck och material, allt från ljudinstallationer och skulpturer som rör sig till skuggspel, videofilmer och teckningar
I utställningen återfinns verk från perioden 2015–2021 med varierande uttryck och material, allt från rörliga skulpturer och skuggspel till performativa videobaserade verk. Raščićs utställning inleder utställningsåret 2021 på Röda Sten Konsthall – detta år då Göteborg fyller 400 år och svenska kvinnor haft rösträtt i 100 år.
Utställningen är öppen för allmänheten från 6 februari. På grund av pandemin kommer Röda Sten Konsthall endast ha möjlighet att ta emot åtta besökare åt gången. En biljett gäller för en timmes vistelse i utställningslokalerna.
Vid sjukdom hjälper Röda Sten Konsthall gärna till att boka ett nytt tillfälle eller återköpa biljett. Har ni frågor om bokning eller dylikt så är ni välkomna att kontakta oss.
I samma byggnad ligger också Röda Sten Restaurang och café som har andra rekommendationer att följa och således kan besökas innan eller efter besöket i konsthallen i mån av plats.
