Paraphrase is thrilled to announce we’ll be kicking off the improv fall season on the first of September, together with the Barcelona-based improv trio, Ett Due Drie who are flying in to Stockholm specifically for this improv evening!
Paraphrase will be performing their Unspoken and Ett Due Drie performing The Waiters. The evening will then conclude with a joint act by the two trios. The show will be performed in English.
ETT DUE DRIE Ett Due Drie is a Barcelona based Improv group that consist of three improvisers from three different countries.
Emil Lundgren, the Swedish element of the group with a passion for weird language references and cultural differences. Emil began his Improv journey in England where he trained and performed with What's the Game Improv' in Reading before moving to Barcelona where he studied at BIG SI and performs regularly with different local groups.
Luigi Tasciono, the creative Italian of the group with a fascination for stereotypes, food and different cultures.Luigi took his first Improv step in Milan with Teatribu, then moved to Barcelona where he continued his Improv journey with various groups both in Spanish and English.
Ruud den Rooijen, the Dutch touch of the group with his wittiness and excellent sense of knowing the right time for a joke. Ruud started out doing Improv in Amsterdam where he trained and performed with the dutch speaking group 'De moeder van Wim' in Amsterdam before arriving in Barcelona where he studied at BIG SI and started performing regularly in English.
With broad experience from different countries, cultures and schools of improvisation they are exploring intriguing characters as they perform an alluring format filled with interesting characters.
THE WAITERS: What happens when 3 different people are stuck together in a place where they have to wait? Without ways to distract themselves? Beyond the point of exchanging pleasantries?
We are living in a busy world and often we tend to rush past the moments between all of the action - When you have to wait at the dentist, for your flight, for the train to work or just in the queue at your local bank.
This show explores how people interact in these moments of waiting whether they are strangers or not.
Be prepared to be uncomfortable, to be inspired, to be moved and most of all to be reminded of that time you got stuck in the elevator with that person you forgot the name of.
UNSPOKEN: Great moments in life are often ruined by words. Could the most important words be the ones left unsaid? What power do words have and how much can be said without them?
In UNSPOKEN we strip the main character from the ability to speak, thus limiting the choices and leaving them in an unusual position of silence as the other characters tell their stories using words.
