Den 24 september 2022 var det världspremiär för stumfilmen The New York Klock, en 24 timmar lång filmupplevelse.

Vi visade hela filmen och 24 pianister tonsatte varsin timme, det blev 24 unika konserter!

Hösten 2023 bjuder vi in till frukostbio, där pianisterna återigen bjuder in till sin tolkning av sin tilldelade timme från filmen. Det blir 24 unika stumfilms-konserter!

OM ARTISTEN
Erik Dahl är en kompositör av drömmar. Med pianot som orkester spinner han en rik värld av melodier, ofta med en sorgsen underton. Hans musik flödar enkelt mellan jazz, klassisk, folkmusik och pop.

OM THE NEW YORK CLOCK
En banbrytande 24-timmars stumfilmsdokumentär om New York City. Spelad på en loop är den ständiga rörelsen i staden som aldrig sover, en filmisk stadssymfoni. Filmskaparna Americk Lewis och Nicholas Sosin flög in 7 internationella artister, många från Paris. De tillbringade över 10 månader med att filma det här konstverket 2015 och fånga NYC i dess fyra olika säsonger i 5 distinkta stadsdelar. Ett projekt som tog totalt 10 år att genomföra.

Den tappar aldrig sin vintage och nästan tidlösa känsla. Totalt valdes 1440 klipp ut av regissörerna och syddes ihop från tusen unika perspektiv och vinklar för att skapa en 24 timmar lång film, allt synkroniserat med tiden på dygnet.

BREAKFAST CINEMA - The New York clock / 01.00 AM with Erik Dahl

On September 24, 2022, there was the world premiere of the silent film The New York Clock, a 24-hour film experience.

We showed the entire film and 24 pianists each played music for an hour, it was 24 unique concerts!

In the fall of 2023, we invite you to the breakfast cinema, where the pianists once again invite you to their interpretation of their allotted hour from the film. There will be 24 unique silent film concerts!

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Erik Dahl is a composer of dreams. With the piano as an orchestra, he spins a rich world of melodies, often with a sad undertone. His music flows easily between jazz, classical, folk and pop.

ABOUT NEW YORK CLOCK

A groundbreaking 24-hour silent film documentary about New York City. Played on a loop is the constant movement of the city that never sleeps, a cinematic urban symphony. Filmmakers Americk Lewis and Nicholas Sosin flew in 7 international artists, many from Paris. They spent over 10 months filming this work of art in 2015, capturing NYC in its 4 different seasons in 5 distinct boroughs. A project that took a total of 10 years to complete.

It never loses its vintage and almost timeless feel. A total of 1,440 clips were selected by the directors and stitched together from a thousand unique perspectives and angles to create a 24-hour film, all synchronized with the time of day.
