Frames On Women is the 5th edition of Frames - Portuguese Film Festival.
This edition is, firstly, about the complex problem of the representation of women in film and, secondly, about giving fair visibility to women through Portuguese cinema. Considering the vast majority of contemporary cinematic depictions is still linked to the male gaze, this edition is all about counteracting that trend.
Keeping the focus on women, the festival will open with a fantastic concert by Luísa Sobral. With her fourth album out, various collaborations with acclaimed singers and songwriters as well as composing "Amar pelos dois", the winning song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 performed by her brother Salvador Sobral, Luísa Sobral and her soft-spoken singing voice will be the perfect opening for the festival.
Concert tickets are still on sale. Admission to the venue for the concert is not allowed to minors under 18 years old.
Now you can book the tickets for individual film screenings! The tickets are free of charge and one can book up to a max of 2 tickets per person. The screenings will take place at Akademin Valand, Vasagatan 50, 411 37 Göteborg.

This year's festival theme is [ Colossal Youth ]
How is youth portrayed in cinema? Through what images and sounds can we define the energy of the new generations, their dreams and fears? How do they challenge traditions and invent new ways of life?
It is imperative to listen carefully to young people, observe their freedom and return to the mysteries they know and which adults seem, at times, to have forgotten. In other words, travel back in time and go back to the moments that shaped everything that came after. Perceiving youth is, after all, perceiving who we are and what we can be.
The selection of films for this edition was made based on the adequacy of the artistic work and the chosen theme, FRAMES COLOSSAL YOUTH, and, as always, based on the quality of cinematographic production in Portugal. COLOSSAL YOUTH, powerful youth.

De goedkeuring van terugbetalingen is de beslissing van de organisator van het evenement, en je dient contact op te nemen met de organisator van het evenement om te bespreken welke opties voor jou beschikbaar zijn. Om in contact te komen met de organisator van het evenement, hoef je alleen maar te antwoorden op de bevestigingsmail van je bestelling of het formulier "Contact opnemen met organisator" op het profiel van de organisator te gebruiken. Controleer je orderbevestigingspagina of orderbevestigingsmail. Gewoonlijk verstrekt de organisator van het evenement de details in de e-mail met de orderbevestiging of ze kunnen je een vervolgmail sturen met een link naar hun online evenement. Misschien wil je ook de evenementbeschrijving op Billetto lezen, waar een evenementorganisator moet beschrijven hoe hij online aan het evenement kan deelnemen.
