First Light har gjort sig kända som ett av Sveriges tyngsta liveband. Dem har gjort oräkniliga bejublade spelningar i Sverige och ute i övriga Europa och backat legender som Michael Prophet och Half&Pint. Klassisk tung och kompromisslös Roots Reggae när den är som bäst!
Detta mäktiga 9-mannaband är först ut med ett set av eget material från debutalbumet ”Judgement Time” som de blandar med nytt material som ännu inte är släppt.
Veteranen Papa Dee behöver kanske ingen närmare presentation. Pionjär inom svensk hiphop, funk och reggae med ett förflutet i bl.a. Stonefunkers och Brooklyn Funk Essentials. Även om hans musik rört sig mellan olika genrer genom åren så är det alltid reggaen som har legat i grunden och också den som han alltid återvänder till.
Till andra set kör Papa Dee, backat av First Light, låtar från sin tyngre reggaerepertoar plus några tolkningar av klassiker. Papa Dee och First Light har gjort några få spelningar vid tidigare tillfällen, vilka reggaevärlden fortfarande talar sig varma om.
Samarbetet mellan Papa Dee och First Light är inte bara scenframträdanden utan har också resulterat i ett minialbum som är inspelat och kommer att släppas inom kort.
Bakom mixerbordet finner vi Janne Karlsson som står för tungt ljud och live-dub. Han är också känd som trummis i Kalle Bah och producent för Red Hut Studios.
