ABOUT DINNER CONFIDENTIAL

Dinner Confidential offers a warm, brave and judgement-free space for people to come together and talk with vulnerability about our most personal topics and emotions.

Each month we investigate a different social topic globally such as failure, sexuality, courage, etc. through intimate dinners (~10 people max) where our experienced hosts create a safe container for sharing.

After each dinner, we identify the key learnings and insights from the night and share them with our community so they, too, can benefit from the experience. We never share personal stories, those are strictly confidential.

OCTOBER THEME | MOTHERS

Our relationship with our mothers (e.g., birth mother or anyone who played that role) shapes so much of who we are today. In these dinners, we'll share how our relationship with our mothers has evolved over the years - what's been its biggest gift, what's brought us pain, what have we healed, what needs attention still. Let's come together to share and listen to our stories in a warm, brave, and judgment-free space.

THE EXPERIENCE

We start the event with personal introductions and some grounding - often meditation, drawing or movement. Then we share our stories and insights around a meal - similar to how you might have a chat with friends. This month we'll gather for a late light lunch/fika and drinks. In Stockholm, the meal is always 100% vegan. If you have other specific dietary restrictions, be sure to let me know at least 3 days in advance.

FAQs

• Do attendees know each other? Sometimes. But usually they don’t and that’s part of the magic. Coming into a place full of strangers to open up and share some of your most personal experiences is very powerful. No one knows your history, you are a blank canvas. We won’t judge you or give you advice (unless you specifically ask for it). We are there to listen, share and connect.

• Do I need to prepare for the Dinner? A little bit! Your hosts will send all the details of the night via email, including a few questions for you to reflect upon prior the Dinner. If you cannot prepare beforehand this is okay, please do not let this deter you.

• How do you keep confidentiality? We include a vow of confidentiality in our invitation, and reiterate the importance of confidentiality at the start of each dinner. We create a strong container of trust and integrity, and expect the same of all of our participants.

• What makes DC so special? Our secret is our hosts and the stories we tell! Our dinners are led by professional moderators, researchers and facilitators all around the world. Brilliant women with years of experience conducting challenging conversations amongst diverse groups of people. We’re less about the woo-woo, and more about the raw, real and impactful conversations with tangible insights for our guests and community to take action and implement within their daily lives. 

• How much is the event and what's included? Dinners are 100 SEK and they include a healthy and yummy meal/fika. Note that we are NOT making any profit from these events and the fee only covers the cost. However, if 100 SEK is more than you can contribute at the moment please contact me and we'll work it out :)

• What’s your cancelation policy? We put a lot of love and effort into these dinners so please, even if the dinners are virtual, do your best to avoid a last minute cancellation. If you need to cancel, try to find a replacement. Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of the event date will receive a 100% refund.
