Göteborgsbaserade Boy Destroy släppte sin internationellt hyllade debutsingel ’Warpaint’ i september förra året. Efter ytterligare ett par singlar släppte han sin lika uppmärksammade sex spårs ’Warpaint EP’ i våras som han beskriver som ”En självbiografisk samling av berättelser och en återblick över delar av mitt tidigare, ganska struliga liv. En uppgörelse.”.
EP:n är producerad av We Know Nothing som består av Karl Sundström från bandet Terra och Alexander Bergil. Det är allt annat än självklart för en ung artist att direkt hitta en egen identitet, ett eget tonfall, en egen estetik. Även om Boy Destroy sneglat på och inspirerats av såväl 90-talets alternativrock, grunge och Jeff Buckley som modernare trap och emo har han ur allt detta vaskat fram ett modernt ganska genrefritt uttryck som uteslutande är just hans – och som speglar vem han är.
På Oceanen denna kväll gör Boy Destroy med band sin allra först livespelning!
