The Waldorf Project is bringing the world premiere of its groundbreaking consciousness experiment “Virtual Serenity” to Sweden. On April 26 and 27, Sergel Hub – Stockholm’s new home for art experiences – will be transformed into an unparalleled VR experiment, blending technology, biometrics and human connection.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You will experience a 45-minute radical VR journey designed to connect you with yourself and the other members of your performance. We are experimenting with empathy engineering and consciousness transformation, and hope to take you to these new places. We encourage you to stay afterwards and explore the connection that will happen, a dedicated comfortable area will be available next door to the main arena. As we are exploring human connection, we will be breaking groups up to sit with strangers. There will be plenty of time after the event to reconnect with your group or explore the new connections that will be made.
128 strangers will participate in a groundbreaking mind-merging consciousness experiment using cutting-edge biometric sensors and bespoke VR technology. Participants will embark on a deeply introspective VR journey designed to create a neural network of shared emotions – a “hive mind” of connection. This will be the largest location-based VR experience ever attempted, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in a connected virtual world. Each participant’s body temperature, heart rate, and behaviour will directly influence their experience, fostering an unprecedented level of connection.
The 11am performance on Saturday is a reduced price PREVIEW PERFORMANCE.

For over 15 years, The Waldorf Project, led by British futurist artist Sean Rogg, has presented immersive performances to thousands of people worldwide. The project has been recognised as the world’s most intense art experience, exploring concepts such as empathy engineering, consciousness transformation, altered states of reality and even reverse engineering the feeling of being in the presence of a higher power.
Building on The Waldorf Project’s illustrious history of groundbreaking experiences – including their landmark empathy experiment with 5,000 participants in the Thai jungle and the world’s first fully immersive performance aboard a transatlantic flight – Virtual Serenity represents their most ambitious digital work yet. After four years of intensive research, prototyping and a successful test in Berlin in 2024, this revolutionary digital empathy experiment is ready to push the boundaries of human connection in the virtual space.
