About Harald Björk;

The musical year 2024 began March 8 with Dots and Pearls 8, Harald’s fifth release on Cocoon Recordings. The song Aluco is a swirling techno creation that both flirts with the minimal, melodic techno of the first decade of the century as well as the contemporary trance winds in electronic music today.

Swedish artist Harald Björk started releasing music around 2006 as a youngster living in Berlin. After releases on Traum Schallplatten along artists like Dominik Eulberg, Minilogue and Extrawelt in the first wave of melodic minimal techno he founded his own label Kranglan Broadcast as an outlet for own works and remixers. Over the years Harald has brought onboard musical friendships such as Ada, Axel Boman, Extrawelt, Fairmont, Justus Köhncke, Skudge and many more.

Internationally Harald started touring as artist on the booking roster of James Holdens legendary Border Community imprint, mostly as a live act with a nerdy focus on carrying loads of synthesisers, drum machines and mixing desks while at home in Stockholm like most Swedish electronic music producers playing records at the many bars and restaurants available. It wasn’t until recently he started playing clubs as a DJ bringing his long lived melodic soundscapes and rich catalogue of astonishing promos from the best of the best to the dancefloor.

Harald’s most recent releases feature remixes of Sven Väth for Cocoon Recordings along the top tier of techno history, of Extrawelt for Traum Schallplatten, of Jeremy Olander and MOLØ for Vivrant, for old Border Community friends The MFA and compilation features on Gregor Tresher’s Breaking New Soil series.
