Charity Concert in Support of Ukraine VOICES OF PEACE

- We are Russian musicians Noize MC and Monetochka.

We oppose the terrible and inhumane war waged by the Russian authorities against Ukraine. We consider it our duty not only to express our differences openly, but also to help those whose lives have been torn apart by war. We are holding a series of joint charity concerts, Voices of Peace, to raise funds for medical-, food-, human rights- and other humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian civilian population. So far, three concerts in Riga, Vilnius and Warsaw have already raised over € 200,000, all proceeds from the concerts are donated to the polish foundation «Siepomaga» (https://www.siepomaga.pl/ukraina).

Noize MC is the main opposition figure on the Russian hip-hop scene. In his songs he talks about war and collective guilt, criticises the current political regime, and calls for peace. His lyrics, though very private and full of the author's own emotional struggle, are relatable to the members of the antiwar community to whom it helps to accept the present cruel reality.

His partner in concert, the singer and songwriter Monetochka, is known for the seemingly simple rhymes and tunes, but if one listens more closely - her songs are much more than this. Her music is often described as the voice of youth, or even the “manifesto of the generation”.

Noize MC and Monetochka are renowned musicians, with millions of streams on platforms like Spotify, and tens of millions of views on Youtube. Both are also well-known for taking an active civil position against Putin's regime, and now also an anti-war stance. Due to their political views, some of their concerts were cancelled in Russia.
