OOOUUU

It is as they say: the best restaurants have no food, the best stores has nothing to sell and the best hotels has no rooms to rent. OOOUUU consists of a piano player without a piano and a guitarist without a guitar. Simply put, OOOUUU is a duo without any songs, and that is what makes them the best band.

The duo started in a poorly renovated pigsty on a spontaneous first show in the south of Sweden and have since then explored music in the liminal - the sounds of sound. Their technique often involves sampling the samples of the sampled samples to find the gritty and raw tones of almost any sound to feed into their musical sphere. The music is never on a predestined journey but nevertheless always takes interesting forms along its path in the unknown. With no songs in their luggage, the duo is constantly in tune with the space and time in which they are performing, creating a unique experience ranging from glistening ambient atmospheres to dirty techno rhythms. The group is not seldom seen with sporadic guest appearances.

OOOUUU is consisting of Manne Skafvenstedt, a pianist, composer and producer, together with Jonathan Lennerbrant “Enengis”, a guitarist, sound explorer and composer, both based in Stockholm.
